Welcome to Jenera Healy Photography!
My name is Jenera Healy. I am happily married and we have two sons together. I currently live in Caldwell, Idaho. Living in Idaho gives me endless sources of inspiration and locations for great family shoots and events. Being outside is the greatest aspect of my shoots and helps everyone be comfortable.
I first picked up a camera in the spring of 2007. Since that time I have been unable to put it down and love looking for new and unusual angles. My first camera was a 1980's Canon EOS 650. I purchased it used for $50 at a pawn shop. After a few months, and gentle prodding from my husband, I went to a camera store and purchased a new 80mm-300mm macro lens and a used flash. Since then I have been unstoppable. I purchased a digital Canon Rebel XTi in early 2008 and I must say that I am completely in love with it! It feels like an extension of myself and allows me to express my creativity.
My goal as a photographer is to offer memories to anyone and everyone. I love shooting families with children, large families with many generations, and weddings. I am honored to be asked to share in special days and memories and being able to offer something for generations to come to remember the day. I have been asked why I do not charge more for my services and the simple answer is that I am doing what I love regardless of what I am paid. I love seeing the smile on a mom's face when I've captured the perfect moment of her toddlers. I love seeing a bride tear up seeing that I caught her first kiss with her husband for eternity. And most importantly I love being able to offer a service that may be out of reach for some families. I am truly blessed to do what I love doing.
